On Tuesday, February 7th, the first of the five-night run of the most famous Italian music events took place. Yes, we are talking about the Italian song Festival of Sanremo!<\/p>\n

The festival is a song contest held annually since 1951 in the so-called “city of flowers” Sanremo in the Ligurian seaside. Over the years, this traditional show how launched several world-famous Italian singers such as Andrea Bocelli, Laura Pausin and Eros Ramazzotti.<\/p>\n

This 67th year of the Sanremo Music Festival was broadcast as usual on the National Channel Rai Uno from the Ariston Theatre, and hosted by Carlo Conti and Maria De Filippi. 22 famous Italian singers present their previously unreleased songs in an attempt to win the competition.<\/p>\n

In the first night of the show, 11 singers appeared, including some international artists such as Clean Bandit and Ricky Martin. More than 11 million people tuned in to watch the show live, so we joined with our friends at Fanpage.it<\/a> to see if the talented voices were enough to take people’s attention away from Pornhub.<\/p>\n

Our statisticians discovered that compared to an average day, Italy\u2019s traffic started to drop shortly after the live competition began.<\/p>\n

We experience the biggest drop (-15%!) between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m., during which\u00a0we saw Tiziano Ferro with Carmen Consoli, Al Bano, Raul Bova and Paola Cortellesi with Antonio Albanese\u2026bravo guys! Our loyal Italian\u00a0visitors think you are better than porn!<\/p>\n

After that, when the Festival was going to end, the traffic began to rise again, increasing 4% above Italy\u2019s normal levels after the end of the show.<\/p>\n

The average traffic loss in Italy was\u00a0around 7%, but taking a look at individual Italian regions, we can see that the one that expierenced the biggest drop is Basilicata, where it dropped as much as 13%\u00a0— looks like in Potenza people really enjoyed the Festival! After Basilicata we have: Sardinia (-10%), Toscany (-10%), Apulia (-9%) and Marche (-9%). Meanwhile people from Friuli-Venezia Giulia (-5%), Veneto (-4%), \u00a0Trentino-Alto Adige (-4%), \u00a0Valle D’Aosta (-4%) and Molise (-3%) didn\u2019t seems to pay so much attention to the songs and preferred to have fun on our website.<\/p>\n

Now for the update we promised for the final night of Sanremo! On Saturday the 11th, more than 12 million people tuned in to watch the finale of the show and find out the name of the winner. Here’s how the final show affected traffic to Pornhub.\u00a0Starting in the afternoon, traffic was already a bit below an average Saturday, but rapidly declined after the beginning of the show at 9pm. The largest drop of -15% is around 1am, just before the announcement of the winner Francesco Gabbani.<\/p>\n

Marted\u00ec sera \u00e8 andata in onda la prima delle cinque serate di uno degli eventi pi\u00f9 amati dagli italiani\u2026s\u00ec, stiamo parlando proprio del Festival di Sanremo!<\/p>\n

La 67esima del Festival, come da tradizione trasmessa in Eurovisione dal Teatro Ariston di Sanremo, quest\u2019anno vede alla conduzione Carlo Conti con la nostra adorata Queen Mary, e una gara canora disputata tra 22 cantanti nella categoria Big\u00a0e 8 in quella dei Giovani.<\/p>\n

Durante la prima puntata di marted\u00ec, vista da oltre 11 milioni di telespettatori, si sono susseguiti sul palco i primi 11 cantanti in gara e molti ospiti italiani e internazionali, come Tiziano Ferro, Ricky Martin e i Clean Bandit.<\/p>\n

Diamo un\u2019occhiata a come questo grande evento ha influito sulle visite al nostro sito!<\/p>\n

Il nostro dipartimento di statistica ha scoperto che dall\u2019inizio dello show il traffico ha iniziato a scendere vertiginosamente, come si pu\u00f2 notare dal grafico.<\/p>\n

Il punto pi\u00f9 basso (ben -15%!) \u00e8 stato raggiunto tra le ore 22 e le 23, ora durante la quale si sono esibiti sul palco dell\u2019Ariston: Tiziano Ferro con Carmen Consoli, Al Bano, Raul Bova e Paola Cortellesi con Antonio Albanese. Bravi ragazzi! A quanto pare per i nostri visitatori preferiscono voi al porno!<\/p>\n

A seguito di questo picco al ribasso, il livello di traffico ha ricominciato a salire, culminando in un +4% rispetto al traffico medio poco dopo la fine della messa in onda del Festival, intorno all\u2019una di notte.<\/p>\n

Il calo medio del traffico in Italia durante la prima puntata \u00e8 stato del 7%, ma analizzando le singole regioni notiamo che la Basilicata \u00e8 la regione che ha registrato il picco negativo pi\u00f9 alto, con un -13%, \u00a0seguita Sardegna (-10%), \u00a0Toscana (-10%), \u00a0Puglia (-9%) e Marche (-9%).<\/p>\n

Le regioni che hanno invece preferito il nostro sito al Festival sono il Friuli-Venezia Giulia (-5%), il Veneto (-4%), il Trentino-Alto Adige (-4%), la Valle D’Aosta (-4%) e il Molise (-3%).<\/p>\n

Eccoci di nuovo con gli aggiornamenti che vi avevamo promesso. Sabato scorso pi\u00f9 di 12 milioni di italiani si sono sintonizzati su Rai Uno per assistere alla finale e scoprire il vincitore della 67esima edizione del Festival di Sanremo. Vediamo quali sono stati gli effetti sul traffico al nostro sito.<\/p>\n

Il traffico ha iniziato a scendere sotto al livello medio gi\u00e0 nel pomeriggio, segno che gli italiani erano gi\u00e0 immersi nella \u201cfebbre sanremese\u201d!<\/p>\n

Dall\u2019inizio della puntata, poco prima delle 21, il traffico ha iniziato a fluttuare, ma il picco pi\u00f9 basso, – 15%, \u00e8 stato raggiunto intorno all\u2019una di notte, poco prima che venisse annunciato il nome del vincitore, Francesco Gabbani.<\/p>\n

A quanto pare gli italiani sono rimasti molto soddisfatti dalla kermesse, infatti il traffico \u00e8 salito del 4% rispetto alla media appena dopo la fine della puntata.<\/p>\n

Gli amici liguri invece sembrano aver apprezzato un po\u2019 meno il festival ospitato proprio in questa regione, poich\u00e9 il traffico \u00e8 sceso solo del 12%.<\/p>\n

Come potete notare dalla tabella qui sotto, il calo medio del traffico in italia \u00e8 stato dell\u20198%, un punto percentuale in pi\u00f9 rispetto alla prima puntata di marted\u00ec.<\/p>\n

In Valle d\u2019Aosta troviamo il calo maggiore, ben il 24%, al terzo posto troviamo invece la Toscana, regione d\u2019origine del vincitore: i toscani hanno probabilmente preferito il festival al porno proprio per dare supporto al loro conterraneo.<\/p>\n

Ed ecco una piccola sorpresa finale: i 10 partecipanti al festival pi\u00f9 cercati su Pornhub!<\/p>\n

Al primo posto, la sola e unica Maria De Filippi: non ci stupisce, visto che Queen Mary \u00e8 la pi\u00f9 amata dagli italiani (e anche da noi!).<\/p>\n

Un premio di consolazione per i cantanti eliminati venerd\u00ec sera dalla gara: tutti e 4 compaiono tra i pi\u00f9 cercati sul nostro sito.<\/p>\n

Troviamo infatti Giusy Ferreri al secondo posto, Ron al quarto, Albano al settimo e Gigi D\u2019alessio all\u2019ottavo posto.<\/p>\n

Ci stupisce il fatto che, per ora, nessuno abbia cercato il vincitore su Pornhub\u2026.povero Francesco Gabbani!<\/p>\n
