What began as a small gathering of 145 comic fans in 1970, has grown exponentially to become one of the world&#8217;s largest pop-culture expositions including comics, movies, horror, anime, collectibles and video games. It now attracts nearly 150,000 visitors annually to the San Diego area. Our friends at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gizmodo.co.uk\/2017\/07\/exclusive-comic-con-and-porn-go-together-like-lois-and-clark-according-to-pornhub\/\">Gizmodo<\/a> checked in to see if Comic Con and it&#8217;s visitors had any effect on Pornhub&#8217;s searches.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>While people were visiting the San Diego area, we found that searches containing &#8220;comic con&#8221; increased 2767% over the 4 days, when compared to normal search levels leading up to the convention.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-11515\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pornhub.com\/insights\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/pornhub-insights-comic-con-search-timeline.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"620\" height=\"670\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Other searches that increased in San Diego during the convention include &#8220;anime big tits&#8221; which grew by 382%, &#8220;cosplay&#8221; up 166%, superhero up 137% and &#8220;gamer girl&#8221; up 81%.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-11523\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pornhub.com\/insights\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/pornhub-insights-comic-con-search-term-increases.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"620\" height=\"642\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Porn parodies are a popular genre on Pornhub and related searches often increase in popularity when new movies or games are released.
