On Tuesday, February 6th, the first of the five-night run of the most famous Italian music events took place. Yes, we are talking about the Italian song Festival of Sanremo!<\/p>\n

The festival is a song contest held annually since 1951 in the so-called \u201ccity of flowers\u201d Sanremo in the Ligurian seaside. Over the years, this traditional show how launched several world-famous Italian singers such as Andrea Bocelli, Laura Pausin and Eros Ramazzotti.<\/p>\n

This 68th year of the Sanremo Music Festival was broadcast as usual on the National Channel Rai Uno from the Ariston Theatre, and hosted by Claudio Baglioni, Michelle Hunziker and Pierfancesco Favino. The first night has reached 11,6 million viewers, so we joined with our friends at Fanpage.it<\/a> to see if the talented voices were enough to take people\u2019s attention away from Pornhub as happened last year<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Our statisticians discovered that compared to an average day, Italy\u2019s traffic started to drop shortly after the live competition began, at 9 p.m., during the Fiorello performance.<\/p>\n

We experienced the biggest drop \u00a0(6%!) at 10 p.m. while Fiorello and Claudio Baglioni were singing together one of the most famous Italian songs \u201cE tu\u201d, and maybe all the Italians were singing along with them and not thinking about porn.<\/p>\n

After that, the traffic began to rise again, increasing 6% above Italy\u2019s normal levels \u00a0at 1 a.m while Claudio Baglioni was communicatiing the final ranking of singers for the first night\u00a0of the show.<\/p>\n

Ligury, the region that hosts the music festival, has experienced a -9% drop at 11 p.m. during Michelle Hunziker\u2019s performance of the song \u201cE se domani\u201d.<\/p>\n

The average traffic loss in Italy was around 5%, but taking a look at individual Italian regions, we can see that the one that expierenced the biggest drop is Tuscany, where it dropped as much as 10% \u2014 looks like in Florence people really enjoyed the Festival! After Tuscany we have: Friuli-Venezia Giulia (-9%), \u00a0and Umbria (-8%). Calabria, Abruzzo and Basilicata (-1%) didn\u2019t seems to pay so much attention to the songs and preferred to have fun on our website. The funny fact is that Basilicata is the region who had experienced the biggest traffic drop during Sanremo last year (-13%). Looks like in Potenza people isnt enjoyng the festival as they did in 2017!<\/p>\n

One last curious funny fact: on 6th February the searches on the beautiful \u201cMichelle Hunziker\u201d on Pornhub increased +600%!<\/p>\n

Italian Version<\/h2>\n

Marted\u00ec 6 Febbraio \u00e8 andata in onda la prima puntata della 68esima edizione, condotta quest\u2019anno da Claudio Baglioni, Michelle Hunziker e Pierfancesco Favino, seguita da oltre 11,6 milioni di telespettatori.<\/p>\n

Come l\u2019anno scorso<\/a> abbiamo dato un\u2019occhiata al traffico sul nostro sito insieme ai nostri amici di Fanpage.it<\/a><\/p>\n

Nel grafico qui sopra possiamo osservare l\u2019andamento del traffico in Italia e in Liguria proprio durante le ore della prima puntata del festival.<\/p>\n

Il primo calo significativo avviene proprio intorno alle ore 21:00, durante il monologo di apertura di Fiorello.<\/p>\n

Si registra poi il maggior calo del traffico (6%) su Pornhub alle ore 22:00, momento in cui Claudio Baglioni e Fiorello hanno tenuto tutta l\u2019Italia alla larga dal porno cantanto insieme \u201cE tu\u201d.<\/p>\n

Probabilmente eccitati da questo successo storico, i telespettatori italiani hanno lentamente ricominciato a popolare il sito dopo questa performance.<\/p>\n

Durante la lettura della classifica finale, avvenuta intorno all\u2019una di notte, il traffico non solo \u00e8 tornato alla normalit\u00e0 ma ha toccato un +6% rispetto alla media, segno che gli italiani dopo le esibizioni hanno preferito tornare su Pornhub.<\/p>\n

Per quanto riguarda invece la regione che ospita la kermesse, il picco minimo di traffico \u00e8 stato registrato in Liguria alle 23:00 mentre Michelle Hunziker cantava \u201cE se domani\u201d con Favino e Baglioni ai suoi piedi.<\/p>\n

Il traffico durante la prima serata ha avuto un calo medio del 5% in tutta Italia, a sorpresa non \u00e8 la Liguria la regione ad aver avuto il calo maggiore ma bens\u00ec la Toscana, che ha registrato un calo medio del 10%, segno che forse gli spettatori di questa regione sono stati i pi\u00f9 attenti al festival. Seguono il Friuli-Venezia Giulia con -9%, l\u2019Umbria con -8% e la Valle d\u2019Aosta con -7%. A chiudere la classifica, Calabria, Abruzzo e Basilicata, che hanno sperimentato un calo di traffico pari solo all\u20191%. Una delle 3, la Basilicata, \u00e8 la regione che aveva registrato il maggior calo di traffico durante l\u2019edizione del 2017 del Festival (-13%).<\/p>\n
