Naturally, a celestial occurrence of this magnitude impacts traffic to Pornhub.\u00a0When our friends at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tmz.com\/2024\/04\/12\/pornhub-searches-for-eclipse-skyrocket-on-solar-eclipse\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">TMZ<\/a> reached out for some data, our statisticians were happy to oblige.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>The eclipse started in the south and travelled northeast, giving states on the eastern side of the country a significantly better view. Traffic to Pornhub dropped \u201368% below average in both Maine and Ohio, and \u201367% in New Hampshire and Vermont.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1400\" height=\"2266\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pornhub.com\/insights\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/pornhub_insights_2024_eclipse_peak_traffic_decrease.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-22453\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>On the western side of the country, where the eclipse never reached totality, traffic was not impacted as much. When our statisticians looked at searches on April 8, 2024, they found a huge increase in searches relating to it. \u201cEclipse\u201d saw the biggest increase, followed by \u201csolar eclipse\u201d and then \u201ceclipse sex.\u201d After that, viewers got a little more creative with their searches, trying out \u201ceclipse my cock\u201d and \u201cwitch eclipse\u201d and \u201ceclipse glasses.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1400\" height=\"1900\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pornhub.com\/insights\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/pornhub_insights_2024_eclipse_top_searches.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-22455\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Leading up to the event, eclipse related searches started gaining traction a few days prior to April 8.
