We found major increases in traffic in East Coast cities going as high as 25% over average in Washington D.C. \u00a0When storm\u00a0Gertrude hit\u00a0the\u00a0United Kingdom just one week later, <a href=\"http:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2016\/02\/02\/these-are-the-british-cities-which-watched-the-most-porn-when-storm-gertrude-hit-5658039\/\" target=\"_blank\">Metro UK<\/a> asked if our U.K. friends had the same tendency to stay home and\u00a0chill out with Pornhub\u00a0rather than\u00a0chilling\u00a0outside.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>After crunching the numbers, we did find\u00a0major traffic changes on Saturday January 30th and Sunday January 31. \u00a0Across the United Kingdom traffic increased on average by 6.3%. \u00a0Not bad considering they&#8217;re our second highest <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pornhub.com\/insights\/pornhub-2015-year-in-review\" target=\"_blank\">source of traffic<\/a> after the United States. \u00a0In Scotland the larger\u00a0change happened on Sunday with an 8.9% increase, whereas England and Whales increased more on Saturday than Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>The U.K. city with the biggest overall increase in traffic was Edinburgh, up 8.8% on Saturday and a very\u00a0impressive 10.3% on Sunday. \u00a0Birmingham and Manchester tied for the biggest Saturday increases at 8.9%. \u00a0Check out the full list of cities below, and to see how neighboring Ireland stacked up against Gertrude.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6755\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pornhub.com\/insights\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/pornhub-insights-2016-storm-gertrude-traffic-united-kindgom.png\" alt=\"pornhub-insights-2016-storm-gertrude-traffic-united-kindgom\" width=\"620\" height=\"1908\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Porn fans\u00a0in the neighboring country of Ireland were equally hit by Gertrude&#8217;s gusts, and warmed themselves up watching\u00a0Pornhub. \u00a0Country-wide, Saturday saw the biggest increase of\u00a08.6%,\u00a0topping out at\u00a010.1% in Cork. \u00a0Things had quieted down by Sunday with only a 5.1% average increase above normal traffic levels.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6760\" src=\"https:\/\/www.pornhub.com\/insights\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/pornhub-insights-2016-storm-gertrude-ireland.png\" alt=\"pornhub-insights-2016-storm-gertrude-ireland\" width=\"620\" height=\"669\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Last week Pornhub Insights looked at site\u00a0traffic after Snowzilla (aka Storm Jonas) landed on the coast of the United States.
