Colombia is a geographically diverse country,\u00a0from\u00a0Amazonian jungles to tropical beaches to\u00a0snow capped mountain ranges. When the\u00a0team at Vice Colombia<\/a> asked the Pornhub statisticians to take a closer look at our visitors from Colombia, we found an equal amount of variety\u00a0in their porn viewing preferences.<\/p>\n

Looking at Colombia’s most viewed categories, “teen” comes out on top, significantly ahead of\u00a0“big dick” and “lesbian”. \u00a0Compared to the worldwide results in our 2015 Year in Review<\/a>, “hentai” is much more popular among Colombians, as is “anal”.<\/p>\n

The same categories are available to all Pornhub visitors regardless of their country of origin, but search terms are completely subjective, so they can help us to see further into\u00a0regional preferences. \u00a0Colombians like to search for their fellow citizens with terms like “colombia”, “colombiana” and “colombian” coming out on top.\u00a0That’s\u00a0a trend we’ve found in many other countries such as\u00a0Greece<\/a> and Romania<\/a>. Again, we see that searches containing “hentai” and also “cartoon” are very popular in Colombia.<\/p>\n

In keeping with their regional tastes, the most searched for pornstars include many latinas. Esperanza Gomez and\u00a0Dayana Perez Sosa both hail from\u00a0Colombia.<\/p>\n

Nearly one quarter of all visitors from Colombia are women, exactly matching the worldwide average of 24%, and Millennials under the age of 35 account for 67% of all visitors.<\/p>\n

When visiting Pornhub, 46% of Colombians use a smartphone which is 7% less than the worldwide average. \u00a0They are also 4% less likely to be using a tablet, which makes them one of the biggest users of desktop and laptop computers to view Pornhub.<\/p>\n

Because of\u00a0Colombia’s vast diversity, we decided to dig deeper into their regional preferences. \u00a0The city of Bogata accounts for over 40% of all traffic, followed by Medellin at 14% and Cali at 11%. \u00a0These top 10 closely match the size of their population except for Arjona, which views much more porn per capita than any other city.<\/p>\n

On average, Colombians spend just 7 minutes and 2 seconds each time they visit Pornhub. \u00a0That’s pretty darn quick compared to our world average of 9 minutes and 20 seconds and long lasting countries like the United Kingdom<\/a> and New Zealand<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Visitors from Pasto come and go 50 seconds faster that other Colombians, but Armenia have 26 additional seconds of staying power.<\/p>\n

We also crunched the numbers to see what categories\u00a0are\u00a0preferred by visitors from each of the cities. \u00a0In most cases “teen” and “big dick” were\u00a0still the most viewed\u00a0by volume, but these relative views<\/em>\u00a0allow us to what is more popular\u00a0in each city compared to the rest of Colombia.<\/p>\n

Arjona views the “Gay – Black” category 237% more often, and Barranquilla views “Indian” 94% more than elsewhere. \u00a0The “Amateur” category is viewed 325% more in Bucaramanga, and “Fetish” is 238% more popular in Villavicencio.<\/p>\n

Holidays like Christmas<\/a> and Easter<\/a> can have a significant effect on traffic to Pornhub. We looked at the most popular holidays in Colombia and found that\u00a0New Year’s Eve has the biggest change – 55% less than traffic on an average day. \u00a0Christmas Eve was also down 48%, although Christmas day only had a 5% drop. \u00a0Some days result in a traffic increase such as Independence of Cartagena during which we saw traffic go up 7%.<\/p>\n
