In celebration of Pride Month this June, our statisticians have crunched the numbers to reveal fascinating new insights into the gay adult entertainment preferences of viewers worldwide!
Most Viewed Gay Categories
Look no further, the twink takeover is here! While our 2025 Pride Insights showed a lot more variety of tastes, the twinks got a whole lotta love this year, dominating (or being dominated?) in Canada, most of South America, the majority of Europe, all of Russia, and plenty of north Africa.
The Black category was most popular in the United States and several African countries. Over in Greenland, they couldn’t get enough Big Dick.
Top Gay Searches During Pride Month
During Pride Month, “femboy” is the most searched term by quite a wide margin. In our 2025 Year in Review, “femboy” was the most popular gay search term, showing the trend is continuing into this year as well. Following that is “twink,” which is no surprise considering it’s the most viewed category globally this year. After that, tastes broaden a bit, with “anime” being the 3rd most searched term, and “straight guys first time” the 4th.
Gay Porn Viewer Demographics
This year, the scales were more balanced between male and female viewership of gay porn. Males made up 50.3%, whereas females made up 49.7%. In 2024, females made up 43% of gay porn viewers, with 47% in 2025, and nearly 50% this year, showing an increase of interest.
Looking at age groups, the 18-24 year olds were the highest viewers of gay porn, at 31%. As the age groups get older, the percentage decreases. The 24-34 year olds made up 20%, whereas the 65+ group made up only 9%.
That said, while the 65+ age group makes up a smaller percentage of viewers, they are also +26.3% more likely to engage with gay porn compared to the other age groups. In contrast, the 35-44 year old group is –15.8% as likely to watch it compared to the other age groups.
In our 2025 Pride Insights, the relative popularity of gay viewers in the 18-24 group was –4%, and this year it has lifted to +9.5%. Alternatively, the 45-54 age group was +7% last year, and this year it dropped to –7.2%.
Gay Category Popularity by Age Group
Breaking it down further to see the top relative gay categories by age group, our statisticians found a variety of differences in taste.
The Cartoon category was viewed by the 18-24 age group +267% more than other groups. The Group category was viewed +72% more than others by the 25-34 year olds. Black was viewed +60% more by the 35-44 age group. The 45-54 year olds were +96% more likely to view Amateur. The 55-64 age group viewed Cumshot an immense +319% more. And finally, the 65+ group viewed Vintage +29% more.
The Straight Guys category had some overlap between the groups, as well as Big Dick, Bareback, and Black.
Most Viewed Performers by Gay Visitors
This year’s most viewed performer was Tyler Wu, taking the top spot from Malik Delgaty, who dropped to 4th. Ethan Lestray was the 2nd most viewed, followed by Legrand Wolf in 3rd. Among the gay performers, there were also a couple straight/bi performers that made the list, indicated in the graph by an asterisk.
United States
While Twink was the top category worldwide, the US had some more varied tastes. The west coast was predominately into Bareback, while the east coast showed some love for Straight Guys, Black and Big Dick.
Breaking state interests down further showed an even wider variety of tastes. Washington was more likely to view the Jock category than other states, whereas Ohio preferred Bear. Illinois preferred the Group category while Louisianna enjoyed Solo Male. Alaska liked Chubby and Colorado preferred Bareback. In New York, they were viewing the Feet category more, while New Jersey viewed Handjob.
Gay Porn Viewership by State
When compared to the national average, the District of Columbia was +35% more likely to watch gay porn than other states, followed by Rhode Island at +31% and then Maryland at +27%.
The states that were least likely to watch gay porn compared to the national average were Louisiana at –16%, Alaska at –14%, and then Iowa at –12%.
Europe
Looking at the top relative categories by country shows many different tastes, and even a few overlaps.
Norway and Finland were into the Asian category more than other European countries. Portugal, Cyprus, and Greece couldn’t get enough of then Hunk category. Italy and the Netherlands kept it local with Euro. Croatia and Serbia liked the Bear category. In Estonia and Latvia, they loved the Reality category.
United Kingdom
A quick note about the UK: the data collected only includes age verified users. When our statisticians analyzed gay porn viewing habits across the UK, they found the South East watched gay porn +51% more than the national average. In London, they watched gay porn –6% below the national average.
Looking at top relative gay categories by region, our statisticians found Greater London watched the Blowjob category +153% more than other regions. The West Midlands watched the Creampie category +145% more, and the South East watched POV +131% more.
Italy
In Italy, Molise watched gay porn +18% more than the national average, a substantial drop from last year when they watched gay porn +94% more. In contrast, Basilicata watched gay porn –20% less than the national average.
Italy’s top relative gay categories included a special interest in POV from the people in Molise, who viewed it +285% more than other regions. The Tattooed Men category was viewed +224% more in Valle d’Aosta, and the College category was +178% more popular than other regions in Basilicata.
